Tomorrow evening we'll have a time of fellowship sharing the many blessings, challenges and encouragements the Lord has given us this year.
We'll also enjoy a bring&share meal together to celebrate the end of a year and the beginning of a new one!
At 11pm we'll join Budrio's community in the main square for the annual bonfire! This year they'll burn a wooden sculpture of a frog.
In Budrio's dialect "to have a frog", means "to be on the rocks",
to not have much money at all. So the idea is "to burn" a difficult year of crisis, hoping for a better new one.
Our desire is to be part of our community to enjoy this festive time,
yet to bring the message that our ultimate hope for the future rest only in the eternal God of love and justice!
"Oh sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth! Sing to the LORD, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!"
Tomorrow we'll have our morning service
to worship God together and to proclaim
His Word in Budrio.
We are glad for the Lord's provision of the main room in Le Torri dell'Acqua, the theatre&modern art-gallery right at the centre of Budrio, well known as a cultural meeting point.
At 10.00 am we'll enjoy our family time together with a lovely breakfast.
At 10.30 am we'll have a New Year service.
Jenny will lead the time with
the little ones engaging on the same topic,
looking together at Philippians 1:6.
Stefano will preach from Philippians 1:1-11. We'll engage with God's Word, seeing how when every year we make "New Year wishes",
God is the one who always finishes what He has started!
"And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ."
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Tomorrow evening we'll have our bimonthly Sunday Evening Family Time as core group of the Impatto A Budrio church-plant.
Stefano will lead this Family Time focused on God's Word followed by a time of vision and prayer.
We'll interact with Luke 2:1-20.
Our desire is to be like the shepherds:
we want to come and see the Saviour,
and then to go and tell the Gospel to our generation!
Our desire is to grow in our comprehension of the unity we have in
Christ and in our vision for reaching out the community of Budrio with a
strong sense of the global reality of God's Kingdom.
Part of this Family Time will be to enjoy fellowship with a bring&share meal together!
At 9.00 pm we'll join the community of Budrio for
the Christmas Concert with two local choirs at
Le Torri dell'Acqua, the theatre&modern art-gallery
right at the centre of Budrio we use for our services!
It will be a good opportunity to be part of Budrio's cultural life and to immediately live out the Gospel with the real Christmas message we'll be just reminded!

"He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God."
Tomorrow afternoon we'll have our My Space Budrio club to reach out local teens. Please pray with us, that this will be a meaningful opportunity the Lord will use to call them.
We'll interact with the YfC Rock Solid material following the theme: The Real Christmas!
We’re all aware of just how easy it is to lose sight of the real meaning of Christmas.
Shopping, writing endless Christmas cards and entertaining obscure relatives can all edge Jesus out of our celebrations.
Tomorrow we'll challenge our teens to think about whom we want really to celebrate this Christmas and why!
We'll play many funny games to illustrate this point and we'll engage with these two videos:
Tomorrow we'll at the end of the club we've invited the parents of the kids attending the My Space Budrio Club.
We'll have a nice time together drinking some hot chocolate and playing funny games.

Pray with us that many of them will come and that we'll have a good and profitable Gospel time with them!
Tomorrow evening we'll have our home-group mid-week Bible Study in Budrio.
We'll interact together with the module Gospel Change from the Porterbrook course.
The goal of the Christian life is to be conformed to the likeness of
Christ (Romans 8:29).
In this course we will learn how to apply the
gospel to our everyday life.
It teaches Christians to connect the truth
about God with our 'Monday-morning struggles'.
We will find out how
change takes place as God’s truth is applied to the heart, and also how
to effectively minster the gospel to those around us.

Christ and our vision for reaching out the community of Budrio with a
strong sense of the global reality of God's Kingdom.

This exciting week of outreach in Budrio and in the nearby town of Molinella has been challenging and envisioning at the same time.
Now we are a bit tired and we've been stretched quite a
few time in the last days.
Yet we feel so blessed by the great doors the Lord has opened, by the fellowship and support we received by
many friends from our core-group, from the incredible Agape Italia Bologna Team (Campus Crusade) and from the churches of San Lazzaro and Nuova Vita!
We have so many reasons to be thankful to the Lord for
His faithfulness and wisdom and to be part of such a great family in Christ!
During the last week we've been invited to present our program, about the history and significance of Thanksgiving, in 7 schools in Budrio and Molinella.
It was the first time we've been able to go
in the Vocational School in Budrio and the High-School in Molinella.
In total we've been able to interact with 390 local pupils and 5 teachers really appreciated our message and said they would like to work again with us!
On Saturday 3 new kids came
to our My Space club out of the presentation done in the schools.
Justin and Carli were great in connecting with them and in sharing about being thankful to Jesus from Luke 17:11–19.
One of the activities was to challenge teens to think about 5 people they were thankful and to write a message to them.
A 16yrs boy who came to the Exch@nge Camp in July and now is regularly coming to the club, wrote a message to us, thanking for all what we are doing for him.
Yesterday evening we had a great time at Le Torri Caféoffering the traditional Thanksgiving Pies.
About 20 people came out of the invites we distributed during the week and about 60 people were normal clients.
The Agape Team dressed-up as "Pilgrim Fathers" and had opportunities to share their reasons to be thankful to God for Christ.
We had many great conversations and we pray that the Lord will use this to speak to some of these old and new friends we met in this week.
At 10.30 am we'll have a Thanksgiving service.
Miriam and Kristin will lead the time with
the little ones engaging on the same topic
of thankfulness to God, looking together at Psalm 100:4-5.
Taking the opportunity of the
American Thanksgiving Day, Stefano will preach from Colossians 2:6-7; 1:13-23. We'll engage with God's Word,to see how the Apostle Paul could ask the Colossian Christians to abound in thanksgiving.
"Therefore, as you received
Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and
established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in
thanksgiving."
From 6pm to 10.30pm our American friends will dress up as Pilgrims and Indians in order to share the story of Thanksgiving and their testimony of thankfulness to God.
We'll also offer the traditional Thanksgiving pies:
Apple Pie, Pecan Pie and Pumpkin Pie!
Stefano and Miriam with Austin and Karl, from the Agape Italia Team (Campus Crusade), were able to interact with a group of about 90 kids aged 16-18yrs.
This was the second time we've been invited in this school and both teachers and students were very appreciative of our presentation.
Austin and Karl were very good in sharing that the significance of Thanksgiving for them is more than being thankful for God's provision, but above all for the gift of Jesus in giving his life for us!
Join us in praying for tomorrow when Justin, Carli, Stefano, Kristin and Miriam will run the My Space club about Thanksgiving.
We've invited many teens from the schools
we visited in these days, so please that the Lord will work in their hearts.
