Theology for Breakfast with Crosslands

Tomorrow we'll continue our series of meetings: Theology for Breakfast!
Due to the new COVID restrictions for public meetings, we'll meet online through the video conferencing app ZOOM.
We'll interact with Crosslands module: Gospel Relationships
Stefano we'll start Unit 1. Introversion & Extraversion.

Relationships are fundamental to our identity, yet they are fraught with difficulty, fear, conflict and uncertainty. Coming to Christ puts us automatically into relationship with a community of his people. The gospel enables relationships to fulfil their purpose and design. The gospel transforms all our relationships. It resolves conflict, and gives new purpose to friendships, parenting and marriages. Together we'll discover how we can be freed to serve and love others with gospel intentionality.

Usually, following Luther's Table Talks example, we'll have met @ Central Café in Mezzolara where, while enjoying a traditional breakfast with capuccino & croissant, we'll have engaged with God's Word discovering the beauty of theology in our everyday life!
In this moment to support our local economy, we've decided to order from local cafés our breakfasts delivered at home! This is a simple and practical way to keep blessing our beautiful community in Budrio!

EMF Webinar - Side-by-side: The key role of women in the work of the gospel in Europe

On Monday 11th January @ 7.30 - 8.30 pm (UK time) there'll be European Mission Fellowship Seminars Series: Europe Needs the Gospel - Side-by-side: The key role of women in the work of the gospel in Europe … and how can we support them.

From the EMF website: All throughout EMF’s 60-year history, women have played a pivotal role in the work of the gospel in Europe. Some as individual outreach workers, working with women and children; others as wives actively supporting their husbands in church leadership, others working within fellowships teaching and working with women in the churches. The particular challenges and trials of missionary life can often fall heavily on the shoulder of the women, and these can be acute when long-sufferance is needed and disappointments are many. But these challenges are rarely voiced or shared with supporters.

Jean Woods, Pilar Herrera Carretero, Vivienne Birch and Jenny Mariotti have all been EMF missionaries (the latter in Italy, the others in Spain), serving for many years in different capacities, both by themselves or alongside their husbands.

They will be discussing this important topic as a panel discussion, and enabling us to gain insight into the joys and trials of missionary life, and enabling us to understand how support the women workers in Europe more faithfully.

Praying with Jesus - Family Prayer Meeting

Tomorrow evening we'll meet on Zoom for our montly prayer meeting as church family.

Stefano, will lead this time where we'll follow Jesus' Disples' Prayer from Matthew 6:8-15: "...for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. Pray then like this: "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. "
