Theology for Breakfast with Crosslands

Tomorrow we'll continue our series of meetings: Theology for Breakfast!

Due to the new COVID restrictions for public meetings, we'll meet online through the video conferencing app ZOOM.
We'll interact with Crosslands module: Gospel Relationships. With Stefano we'll start Unit 2. Conflict.

Relationships are fundamental to our identity, yet they are fraught with difficulty, fear, conflict and uncertainty. Coming to Christ puts us automatically into relationship with a community of his people. The gospel enables relationships to fulfil their purpose and design. The gospel transforms all our relationships. It resolves conflict, and gives new purpose to friendships, parenting and marriages. Together we'll discover how we can be freed to serve and love others with gospel intentionality.

Easter Family Service

Tomorrow we'll have a special Easter Family Service to worship God, little ones and grown ups together and to proclaim His Word in Budrio.

Due to new COVID restrictions on in person meetings in our region, we'll meet on ZOOM

At 10.30 we'll start our Easter service, where all our church kids will read from Luke 23:44-24:12 and together we'll engage with the meaning of Jesus being the Passover Lamb on whom the LORD has laid the iniquity of us all Isaiah 53, and of the Curtain of the Temple which was torn in two at Jesus' death!

We'll celebrate the Lord's Supper from Luke 22:14-20.
Then we'll see the beauty of Christ and God's eternal plan of salvation, by answering the angels' question:
Why do you seek the living among the dead?
He is not here, but has risen!

Together we'll see how the whole Old Testament was the preparation for the Easter event, and how the rest of the New Testament serves to tell the world about this event - Jesus' resurrection is the central point of everything.
Our faith is based on Christ's resurrection, because it is the testimony that Jesus defeated sin and death once and for all, this is Easter that we too want to announce to everyone!

Good Friday Zoom video party - The Jesus Film Project

Tomorrow evening we'll meet as church family for Good Friday.

Due to COVID restrictions on in person meetings, we'll have a Zoom video party, where together, kids and adults, we'll watch The Jesus Film Project.

We'll have an introduction time before the movie, followed by a prayer time at the end.

Jesus (also known as The Jesus Film Project) is a 1979 biblical drama film directed by Peter Sykes and John Krish, and produced by John Heyman. Jesus is described as the most-watched motion picture of all time, in addition to being the most translated film of all time.

Shot on location in Israel, the film was financed primarily by Campus Crusade for Christ and was released without production or cast credits, as producer John Heyman declared that the creators of this picture were “simply being translators” of the New Testament's Gospel of Luke, “so nobody will know who produced or directed the film.” The end of the film states that the Good News Bible was used during filming, and instead of telling a parallel story or embellishing the biblical account like other biblical films, the filmmakers chose to adhere to the Gospel of Luke as closely as possible.
