MySpace Club 4 Teens - You Are What You Eat!

Tomorrow afternoon we'll have
our My Space Club 4 Teens
for this school year.

We organize this club for local kids,
in partnership with Budrio Town Hall
as part of their after-school programme.

In this way, following every Covid-restrictions, we've been given a room in Budrio's Library and social workers are sending some of the kids they follow.
As part of our club, we also offer help
with their English home-works.

Together we'll engage with the YfC Rock Solid material, interacting with the theme: You Are What You Eat!

We'll play lots of fun games like: Eat & Great, Go Crackers, Who Influences You?, Shape of You, 5 a Day, Social Distancing Games, which will serve as illustrations to Yan's Talk from John 6:35! To some extent it's true that we are what we eat. Food can affect many things about our health. In order to live, we need food and without food we don't go on very long. Jesus once said that he himself was the bread, a bread which came down from heaven, sent by the Father. A bread that gives life to the world. A life and a satiety that can be found only in him.
“I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.”John 6.35
Eating this bread means believing in the one whom God has sent, that is, Jesus himself, the Son of God!

SUNDAY SERVICE: Matthew 21:33-46 - Is God dead and did we killed him?

Tomorrow we'll have our morning service to worship God together and to proclaim His Word in Budrio.

We are glad for the Lord's provision of the conference hall at the local middle school, a strategic and well known location in our community.

At 10.30 we'll start our service with our series on Matthew's Gospel - The King & his Kingdom!

With Stefano we'll engage with Matthew 21:33-46 - Is God dead and have we killed him? Contrary to what Nietzsche's Madman says, God's not dead and till today we can see the beauty of Christ, who came to give his life for self-idolatrous madmen like us, because he: "is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" Acts 4:11-12

We'll have a children's talk where kids will engage with the same Bible passage and families will have activities to keep interacting with God's Word during the week.

His identity, then questions our identity: "Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?--unless indeed you fail to meet the test!" 2 Corinthians 13:5

for this school year.

We organize this club for local kids,

We'll play lots of fun games like: Afraid?, Illogical Fear,  The Fear, Fear: How Do We React?, The Fear you Cannot See, Social Distancing Games, which will serve as illustrations to Yan's Talk from Mark 4:35-41, where we will see that the disciples find themselves in the midst of a great storm. Their boat is filled with water, maybe it will sink and they are afraid! What can they do? how can they react? They go to Jesus. They ask him for help and end up discovering that He is greater and more powerful than the storm. Greater and more powerful than their fears. Have you ever thought that you can tell Jesus about your fears? Have you ever thought that the one whom the winds and waves obey, hears the prayers of those who believe in Him?

SEEKERS Club14-19: seek, and you will find!

Tomorrow afternoon we'll have our Seekers Club for 14/19 years old students, organized by YfC Italy

Tomorrow, we'll be hosted by Nuova Speranza Church and with Tommy, we'll engage with Matthew 16:13-23 - the King is the only Christ: "He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter replied, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."." Matthew 16:15-16
In this study we'll see how the cross of Christ is a bloody business, full of pain and shame, but it's the only mean of salvation for those who believe. To reject the cross and the need for the cross is to reject Christ. Do we believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of God? Do we believe that He had to die on the cross and accept this sacrifice? Do we believe that Jesus is risen?

This year we'll engage with the Gospel according to Matthew. We'll be exposed to the person of Jesus, discovering who's the King and where's His Kingdom, in the certainty that, as Jesus promised: Seek, and you will find!

SUNDAY SERVICE: Matthew 21:12-22 - The King's Justice!

With Matteo we'll engage with Matthew 21:12-22 - The King's Justice!
Together we'll see the beauty of Christ, who redeems our lives, making us God's Temple for his mission to the nations. "And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God." Philippians 1:9-11

We'll have a children's talk where kids will engage with the same Bible passage and families will have activities to keep interacting with God's Word during the week.

Theology for Breakfast

Tomorrow we'll continue
our series of meetings:
Theology for Breakfast!
Following Luther's Table Talks example, we'll meet from 9 to 11am @ Central Café in Mezzolara where, while enjoying a breakfast with capuccino & croissants, we'll engage with God's Word discovering the beauty of theology in our everyday life!

We'll interact with the module: Gospel Relationships. With Stefano we'll conclude Unit 4. Humility.

Relationships are fundamental to our identity, yet they are fraught with difficulty, fear, conflict and uncertainty. Coming to Christ puts us automatically into relationship with a community of his people. The gospel enables relationships to fulfil their purpose and design. The gospel transforms all our relationships. It resolves conflict, and gives new purpose to friendships, parenting and marriages. Together we'll discover how we can be freed to serve and love others with gospel intentionality.
