Preaching at the joint service of the Churches in Lucca and Pisa

Tomorrow we'll be in Tuscany for the joint service of the Free Church (Chiesa Libera) in Lucca and the Acts29 church plant The Tower Church (Chiesa la Torre) in Pisa.

 

Stefano will preach from 1 Timothy 1:1-11 - The aim of our charge is love!

Sunday Service: Visiting Preacher - Gianluca Nuti

Tomorrow we'll have our morning service to worship God together and to proclaim His Word in Budrio.

 

 

 

 

 

We are glad for the Lord's provision of the meeting room at the social center Magnolia, a well known cultural meeting point right at the centre of Budrio.

At 10.30 we'll start our service and Gianluca Nuti, from Forte Torre Evangelical Church in Bologna, will preach on "Enjoying creation to enjoy God" from Ecclesiastes 2. 

How vain it is to seek happiness in this creation when one cannot find it, for it is only in receiving it as a gift from God that there is true joy!
"There is nothing better for a person than that he should eat and drink and find enjoyment in his toil. This also, I saw, is from the hand of God, for apart from him who can eat or who can have enjoyment? For to the one who pleases him God has given wisdom and knowledge and joy, but to the sinner he has given the business of gathering and collecting, only to give to one who pleases God. This also is vanity and a striving after wind." Ecclesiastes 2:24-26

We'll have a children's talk where kids will engage with the same Bible passage.

MySpace Club 4 Teens - Freedom!

 

Tomorrow afternoon we'll have our
My Space Club 4 Teens
for this school year.

We organize this club for local kids,
in partnership with Budrio Town Hall
as part of their after-school programme.

In this way, we've been given a room in Budrio's Library and social workers are sending some of the kids they follow. 

As part of our club, we also offer help
with their English home-works.

 

 

 

 

Together we'll engage with the YfC Rock Solid material, interacting with the theme: Freedom!

We'll play lots of fun games like: Fonzies’ Challenge, DodgeBall Mudge, Chicken RUN!, Worse / Worser / Worserer, Braveheart’s Freedom, Braveheart’s Freedom, Set FREE!, Let GO…D, For Freedom, which will serve as illustrations to Stefano's Talk from John 8:30-36.

Jesus is the true freedom-giver, and this was done through his birth, his death on the cross to take the punishment for all the bad stuff we do, and his resurrection to set us free! That means we have freedom from guilt and shame, and a relationship with him where He gives us hope, love, acceptance, significance, comfort and tackles the loneliness that causes so many people to turn to addiction. “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32

App1Timothy - Mid-Week Bible Study

Tomorrow evening we'll have our App1Timothy (Applying the 1st Pastoral Letter of Paul to Timothy), our series of Mid-Week Bible Studies in which we'll keep interacting with what we're learning through the preaching in our Sunday services.  

We'll meet at the Bookshop-Café La Terza Stanza, in Budrio. Stefano will lead this time where we'll engage with 1 Timothy 3.

 

Preaching at the Christ Alone Church in Ravenna

Tomorrow afternoon we'll fellowship with Christ Alone Church a new EMF church plant in the nearby city of Ravenna, led by Manuel and Jania Morelli. 

Manuel is from the Romagna region, and he completed is theological training at the LTS in London.

Stefano will teach in their adult Sunday School class about being a Missional Church and then will preach from 1 Timothy 1:1-11 - The aim of our charge is love!

With Stefano we'll engage with 1Timothy 3:8-13 - God equips his church to live the Gospel! 

God equips His church to live His Gospel, through the govern of a plurality of elders who guide and nourish the church in His Word, and through the administration of a plurality of deacons: men and women, who serve the church in the Gospel for the advancement of the Gospel! This is the model, example and embodiment of true service that Jesus left us: "...whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." Matthew 20:26-28
