Sunday Service: Through the Sea (Exodus 14-15)

Tomorrow we'll have our morning service to worship God together and to proclaim His Word in Budrio.

We are glad for the Lord's provision of the meeting room at the social center Magnolia, a well known cultural meeting point right at the centre of Budrio.

Every Sunday in July and August, we'll interact with the Good Book Company book Liberating Love on Exodus, by Tim Chester.

Tomorrow we'll engage with Exodus 14-15 - Through the Sea.

Exodus is the story of a bush on fire that never burns up, an unarmed shepherd facing the most powerful man on earth, a nation walking through a sea, storms, earthquakes and more. But it is supremely the story of the God who reveals himself, triumphs over his enemies, and rescues, guides, rules, forgives and lives with his people—and who in all this points forward to a still greater, more thrilling act of liberation.

Gospel Living - Summer in Budrio

As a church family, we want to be "in the middle of the square", at the centre of our community life, to serve and welcome, to celebrate and love, to live and share the Gospel (Acts 17:17), the good news of salvation by grace in Jesus Christ, with everyone!

So tomorrow evening we'll be with our community at the Pasta Fest organised by the Partisan association in Budrio, with whom in 2022 we collaborated for the Christmas Truce project!

This celebration, started in memory of the pasta meal offered by the Cervi family on 25 July 1943 before their martyrdom at the end of the fascist regime in Italy, continues to affirm the founding values of our country: freedom, peace, brotherhood, democracy.

As we are learning in our summer journey through the book of Exodus, the story of the Cervi brothers also reminds us that freedom has a cost, which Christ, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world, paid once and for all!

"If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free... So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." John 8:31-32,36

"I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts. On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate. " Psalm 145:1-5

AppTitus - Mid-Week Bible Study

Tomorrow evening we'll meet at the Ice Cream Café Shop, in Budrio, for our interactive Bible study group AppTitus (Applying the Pastoral Epistle of Paul to Titus), the series of meetings in which we continue to discuss and apply to our lives what we are learning from the preaching in the Sunday services.
During this time we'll engage with Chapter 3 of Paul's Pastoral Epistle to Titus.
