Outreach with under-age asylum seekers: Rugby Clinic

This morning we continued with our outreach programme for kids at the HUB
for under-age asylum seekers in Budrio, in partnership with YfC Italy.

In a village next to Budrio, three years ago was opened the second biggest centre of the Bologna area, to host under-age migrants landed in Italy. At the moment they host
11 kids, mostly Muslim, from various African countries, Albania and Pakistan.

A door was opened to offer a series of Rugby Clinics with Coach Colin White, a former professional rugby player for Scotland, now part of the Bologna staff of YfC Italy.

We are very excited for this opportunity for our church to reach out these kids and for the partnership with the manager of the Mezzolara Sport Centre.

Today Colin, through practical examples from rugby, talked about how we try to live up to God’s holy law but we never can do enough. Jesus is the one who fulfilled the law so we can rest and delight in that.

Join us in praying for Colin and us that we'll be able to share Jesus' Love to these kids,
the HUB staff and the Sport Centre staff,
in words and actions!

Thanksgiving Outreach - Day 2

Today, for our Thanksgiving outreach week with the team from Sojourn Church from Houston, Texas, we've been to the elderly citizens programme.

The team offered some lovely apple pie & pumpkin pie and prepared an art activity, while sharing about the history of Thanksgiving and how we are called to be thankful to the Lord for all his blessings, above all the gift of His Son.
This is the first time we're able to work with this age group and we've been very excited from the welcome of these elderly, we've also had some good Gospel conversations with their relatives and the social workers.

This outreach project is a special Gospel opportunity because we'll be able to interact with every age group, from school kids, to the cultural setting, to families and today with the elderly.
Pray with us the Lord of the harvest for His work in Budrio!

MyHope - The Cross - Evangelistic event in Budrio

Tomorrow evening we've organized an evangelistic event in Budrio, in partnership with the local Assembly of God church.
We are thankful for this opportunity to work together as evangelical churches in reaching out our community and sharing our unity in Christ!
We've organized a Cineforum with the short-movie The Cross, realized for what would have been the 100th birthday of Billy Graham.
In this movie, with the testimonies of artists Lacey Sturm and Lecrae, Billy Graham brings a last and lasting message of hope and redemption: “With all my heart, I want to leave you with the truth that He loves you and wants to forgive you of your sins.”
My Hope is a global initiative from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association to encourage and equip the local church worldwide, to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The International Days of Prayer for the Persecuted Church - IDOP 2018

Millions of Christians around the world are persecuted for their faith daily. From Pakistan to Kazakhstan, Nigeria to North Korea, Christians routinely face discrimination, harassment, violence and even death for their faith in Jesus.

IDOP2018, The International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church, organized by World Evangelical Alliance and Open Doors, unites millions of Christians in prayer for the suffering Body of Christ around the world.

IDOP mobilises the global Church to respond to the persecuted Church. It's also been a source of encouragement to persecuted Christians by reminding them that they are part of a global family of believers.

Tomorrow afternoon, our church will join the family of evangelical churches of the Metropolitan Church of Bologna, for the IDOP 2018 Bologna.

Sunday Service: Exodus 2:1-10 - A family in the Promise, The Promise for the families of all nations!

Tomorrow we'll have our morning service

His Word in Budrio.

Exodus 2:1-10 - A family in the Promise, The Promise for the families of all nations!
Together we'll see the beauty of Jesus, since
we were buried with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead, we too might walk in newness of life! Romans 6:4

This will be a special family Sunday,
where children will share with us the
whole service.

We'll celebrate as church family the dedication of Ephraim McGhin
with a reading from Psalms 78:3-7
and a time of commitment and prayer!

We'll conclude the service with
The Lord's Supper
remembering how in Jesus all God's promises found their yes and amen.

For as often as we eat this bread and drink the cup, we proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
