SUNDAY SERVICE: Matthew 14:22-36 - The King of the Kingdom is worshipped!

Tomorrow we'll have our morning service to worship God together and to proclaim His Word in Budrio.

At 10.30 we'll start our service with our series on Matthew's Gospel - The King & his Kingdom!
 
With Stefano we'll engage with Matthew 14:22-36 - The King of the Kingdom is worshipped! Together we'll see the beauty of Christ, who comes to his disciples in the midst of their life's storm! Therefore let us always look: "to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2
 
 
 

We'll have a children's talk where kids will engage with the same Bible passage and families will have activities to keep interacting with God's Word during the week.

MySpace Club 4 Teens - Good News 2: The Heart!

 
Tomorrow afternoon we'll have
our My Space Club 4 Teens
for this school year.

We organize this club for local kids,
in partnership with Budrio Town Hall
as part of their after-school programme.

In this way, following every Covid-restrictions, we've been given a room in Budrio's Library and social workers are sending some of the kids they follow. 
As part of our club, we also offer help
with their English home-works.

 


 
 
Together we'll engage with the YfC Rock Solid material,
interacting with the theme: Good News 2: The Heart!


We'll play lots of fun games like: Gospel = Good News, Race to 100, Lend a Helping Hand, StepIn-Part1, How Far would you go?, StepIn-Part2, You are so Loved!, Just Keep Thinking, Social Distancing Games, which will serve as illustrations to Stefano's Talk from Luke 10:25-37, where we'll see the incredible love God has for his children: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life". John 3:16

Together we'll see the beauty of Christ, who re-enacts God's provision of manna in the desert, who teaches us God's provision of sacrifice in the Lord's Supper, and who anticipates the messianic banquet: "And the angel said to me, "Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb." And he said to me, "These are the true words of God." Revelation 19:9

Food Bank Collection in Budrio

Tomorrow afternoon, we'll join our community at the 7th Food Bank Collection promoted by Budrio's Town Hall and the network of local associations to which we belong.

As a church family we've been involved in this great opportunity to serve our community from it's first edition! All the goods and food collected will be distributed to the needy in our town.

This year we'll serve alongside the Civil Protection Department of Budrio, whose volunteers have worked a great deal in this time of Covid.

Join us in praying for good Gospel opportunities and conversations both with shoppers and the other volunteers!

We'll play lots of fun games like: Paper Bowling, GoodNews/BadNews, Your Source of News, BadNews into GoodNews, The Chosen: Trouble, Hearing More, Newspaper Scavenger Hunt, Positive Anchors, Gospel = Good News, Social Distancing Games, which will serve as illustrations to Stefano's Talk from John 4:1-30, where we'll see how Jesus is the "Troublemaker" who turns bad news into Good News, who promises: "whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life". John 4:14

SEEKERS Club14-19: seek, and you will find!

 
Tomorrow afternoon we'll restart our Seekers Club for 14/19 years old students, organized by Youth for Christ Italy 
 
 
 
Tomorrow, we'll meet at a Park in San Lazzaro and with Yan, we'll engage with Matthew 1:1,18-24 with Jesus' identity and "names": "you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins... and they shall call his name Immanuel (which means, God with us)." Matthew 1:21, 23

This year we'll engage with the Gospel according to Matthew. We'll be exposed to the person of Jesus, discovering who's the King and where's His Kingdom, in the certainty that, as Jesus promised: Seek, and you will find!

SUNDAY SERVICE: Matthew 13:54-14:12 - God's Prophet brings the Kingdom Message to the unbelievers!

After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high". Hebrews 1:3

Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and said to them, "Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. Neapolis Church in Naples will preach about "Worship the Lamb because he alone is worthy!" - Revelation 5. Together we'll see the beauty of Christ, the Lamb who is worthy: "...for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation, and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth." Revelation 5:9-10

We'll have a children's talk where kids will engage with the same Bible passage. 

Stefano will lead the Lord's Supper from 1Peter 1:18-21 "knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God."

For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith." Both parables highlight the contrast between the "small" beginning and the triumphal ending of God's Kingdom, in this we'll see the beauty of Christ: "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this." Isaiah 9:6-7

Weekend Away with Asti Church

This weekend we'll be at the weekend away of the Church in Asti, Piedmont.

This is one of the oldest evangelical churches in Italy, planted in 1871.

Stefano has been asked to speak about the 3 R's of Relationship, Resilience and Restart.

On Friday evening, he'll preach on Relationship with God, engaging with Paul's "lockdown's prayer" from Ephesians 1:1-23

On Saturday morning, we'll deal with Resilience in Christ, engaging with Paul's "lockdown's prayer" from Philippians 1:1-14


On Saturday afternoon, we'll have a workshop on the theme of Fear. Gianfranco, a member of the local church and principal of the IBEI Bible School in Rome, will talk about Fear: a sociological vision, Stefano will talk about Fear: a biblical vision. This will be followed by groups discussion for men (led by Gianfranco and Stefano) and women (led by Bruna and Jenny).

On Sunday morning, Stefano will preach about Restart by the Spirit, engaging with the Apostle Paul's "pre-lockdown's prayer" from Romans 15:13-33

Tomorrow evening, we'll have our Church members' meeting, where we'll look at the Lord's goodness over the last year and we'll search His wisdom and vision, in planning our activities and outreach for the next year.

Stefano will lead this time with a time of reading and prayer shaped by Matthew 16:18, Psalm 89:29; 129:1-4

Reformation Walk in Ferrara

 

Tomorrow afternoon we'll join the Reformation Walk organized by the CERBI Church of Ferrara to discover the 16th century events took place in this town so close to us.

We are thankful to be able to encourage and support this church on this guided tour organized to discover the key characters and places of the 16th century Reformation in Ferrara.

Through four stages we will listen to the stories of the protagonists of the Reformation, the reasons for the Reformation and the consequences of the Reformation, in Europe, in Italy and in particular in Ferrara!
