MySpace Club 4 Teens - Freedom!

Tomorrow afternoon we'll have our
My Space Club 4 Teens
for this school year.

We organize this club for local kids,
in partnership with Budrio Town Hall
as part of their after-school programme.

In this way, we've been given a room in Budrio's Library and social workers are sending some of the kids they follow.
As part of our club, we also offer help
with their English home-works.

Together we'll engage with the YfC Rock Solid material, interacting with the theme: Freedom!

We'll play lots of fun games like: Fonzies’ Challenge, DodgeBall Mudge, Chicken RUN!, Worse / Worser / Worserer, Braveheart’s Freedom, Braveheart’s Freedom, Set FREE!, Let GO…D, For Freedom, which will serve as illustrations to Stefano's Talk from John 8:30-36.

Jesus is the true freedom-giver, and this was done through his birth, his death on the cross to take the punishment for all the bad stuff we do, and his resurrection to set us free! That means we have freedom from guilt and shame, and a relationship with him where He gives us hope, love, acceptance, significance, comfort and tackles the loneliness that causes so many people to turn to addiction. “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32

Preaching at the Christ Alone Church in Ravenna

Tomorrow afternoon we'll fellowship with Christ Alone Church a new EMF church plant in the nearby city of Ravenna, led by Manuel and Jania Morelli.

Manuel is from the Romagna region, and he completed is theological training at the LTS in London.

Stefano will teach in their adult Sunday School class about being a Missional Church and then will preach from 1 Timothy 1:1-11 - The aim of our charge is love!

Sunday Service: Pastoral Epistles - 1Timothy 3:8-13

Tomorrow we'll have our morning service to worship God together and to proclaim His Word in Budrio.

We are glad for the Lord's provision of the meeting room at the social center Magnolia, a well known cultural meeting point right at the centre of Budrio.

At 10.30 we'll start our service with our series on the Pastoral Epistles.
With Stefano we'll engage with 1Timothy 3:8-13 - God equips his church to live the Gospel!

God equips His church to live His Gospel, through the govern of a plurality of elders who guide and nourish the church in His Word, and through the administration of a plurality of deacons: men and women, who serve the church in the Gospel for the advancement of the Gospel! This is the model, example and embodiment of true service that Jesus left us: "...whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." Matthew 20:26-28

We'll have a children's talk where kids will engage with the same Bible passage.

SEEKERS Club14-19: seek, and you will find!

Tomorrow afternoon we'll have our Seekers Club for 14/19 years old students, organized by

Tomorrow we'll be hosted by San Lazzaro Church, and with Chris, we'll engage with Mark 10:17-22 - Grace. Together we'll see that most people think God will accept them because of things they have done or haven’t done, but these things can’t solve the problem of sin. The Bible tells us that God accepts us, not because of anything we’ve done, but because of what Jesus has done. The only way we can be accepted by God is because he sent Jesus to die on the cross in our place. Grace is God’s undeserved gift to us. Because of what Jesus has done, God treats us in a way we don’t deserve!

This year we'll engage with the Gospel according to Mark using the Christianity Explored course for young adults - Soul. We'll be exposed to the person of Jesus, discovering his identity, mission and call, in the certainty that, as Jesus promised: Seek, and you will find!

MySpace Club 4 Teens - Transformed: Two men on the road!

Tomorrow afternoon we'll have our
My Space Club 4 Teens
for this school year.

We organize this club for local kids,
in partnership with Budrio Town Hall
as part of their after-school programme.

In this way, we've been given a room in Budrio's Library and social workers are sending some of the kids they follow.
As part of our club, we also offer help
with their English home-works.

Together we'll engage with the YfC Rock Solid material, interacting with the theme: Transformed: Two men on the road!

We'll play lots of fun games like: Squeak Piggy Squeak, Roll Up, In Action, Roll Away the Stone, It's All About The Voice Kids, Amazing But True!, Murder Mystery, Tangle Trial, So What?, which will serve as illustrations to Stefano's Talk from Luke 24:1-48.

The idea of someone coming back to life after he was dead can be very difficult to accept, indeed even the disciples didn’t believe it at the beginning. But if that’s true, then it backs up everything Jesus said about Himself. If He really did rise from the dead, then He really is the Son of God. If He really is the Son of God, then we really need to listen to what He said! “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations.” Luke 24:46-47

Tomorrow we'll have our Resurrection Sunday Service to worship God together and to proclaim His Word in Budrio.

At 10.30 we'll start our Resurrection Sunday Service and with Nino we'll engage with Luke 24:14-35 - Jesus' Resurrection, Concrete Hope and Promise Fulfilled!
With the Resurrection, Christ imprints the word 'Fulfilled' on all the promises of the Old Testament. Today he promises us: "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?" John 11:25-26

We'll have a children's talk where kids will engage with the same Bible passage.

Good Friday Family Service

Tomorrow we'll have a special evening Family Service for Good Friday.

We'll dine together and during dinnere we'll celebrate the Lord's Supper.

During the evening we'll read through the Gospel of Luke 22:1-23:56. We'll have moments of prayer, confession, silence, repentance, thanksgiving and praise.

We'll conclude with the Easter meditation of S.M. Lockridge (1913-2000), pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in San Diego from 1953 to 1993.

It’s Friday—But Sunday’s Comin’

It’s Friday
Jesus is praying
Peter’s a sleeping
Judas is betraying
But Sunday’s comin’

It’s Friday
Pilate’s struggling
The council is conspiring
The crowd is vilifying
They don’t even know
That Sunday’s comin’

It’s Friday
The disciples are running
Like sheep without a shepherd
Mary’s crying
Peter is denying
But they don’t know
That Sunday’s a comin’

It’s Friday
The Romans beat my Jesus
They robe him in scarlet
They crown him with thorns
But they don’t know
That Sunday’s comin’

It’s Friday
See Jesus walking to Calvary
His blood dripping
His body stumbling
And his spirit’s burdened
But you see, it’s only Friday
Sunday’s comin’

It’s Friday
The world’s winning
People are sinning
And evil’s grinning

It’s Friday
The soldiers nail my Savior’s hands
To the cross
They nail my Savior’s feet
To the cross
And then they raise him up
Next to criminals

It’s Friday
But let me tell you something
Sunday’s comin’

It’s Friday
The disciples are questioning
What has happened to their King
And the Pharisees are celebrating
That their scheming
Has been achieved
But they don’t know
It’s only Friday
Sunday’s comin’

It’s Friday
He’s hanging on the cross
Feeling forsaken by his Father
Left alone and dying
Can nobody save him?
Ooooh
It’s Friday
But Sunday’s comin’

It’s Friday
The earth trembles
The sky grows dark
My King yields his spirit

It’s Friday
Hope is lost
Death has won
Sin has conquered
and Satan’s just a laughin’

It’s Friday
Jesus is buried
A soldier stands guard
And a rock is rolled into place

But it’s Friday
It is only Friday
Sunday is a comin’!

Sunday Service: Visiting Preacher - Chris Brown

Tomorrow we'll have our morning service to worship God together and to proclaim His Word in Budrio.

We are glad for the Lord's provision of the meeting room at the social center Magnolia, a well known cultural meeting point right at the centre of Budrio.

At 10.30 we'll start our service and Chris Brown, from the Evangelical Church in San Lazzaro di Savena, will preach on "The True Richness" from Mark 10:17-31.
Today's story is an encounter on the way, but it is also a story of two different ways! Jesus says to leave everything and follow him - and we will have treasure in heaven!
"With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God." Mark 10:27
