#exchangebudrio22 Camp DAY4 - The Betrayal of Peter

 

 

4th day at the 2022 English Sport Camp Exchange Budrio.

 

 

 

This morning Yan, YfC Italy worker, led our fourth Talk from Luke 22:54-71, showing kids how, like Luca betraying his best friend Alberto, Peter because of fear of men, betrays Jesus, yet Jesus facing his accusers and the cross speaks them the truth without fear!

 

We had lots of fun playing at Human Fuss-ball & Texan Line Dancing.

Every day one of the American team is sharing a testimony connected with the theme of the day.

Today Joy shared her personal walk of faith with the Lord, engaging very well all the kids!

 

Join us in praying for YfC Italy ministry in equipping churches to reach out to local teenagers. This year, including our camp in Budrio, there will be 6 Exchanges camps: Bologna, Montespertoli, Florence, Vasto and San Lazzaro! Let’s pray for these Gospel seeds sown this summer!

#exchangebudrio22 Camp - DAY3 - The Transfiguration

 

 

3rd day at the 2021 English Sport Camp Exchange Budrio.

 

 

This morning Serena, from Forte Torre Church, led our third Talk from Luke 9:26-32 and 2 Peter 1:16-21, showing kids how, while Alberto is upset about Luca following Giulia's "voice", Jesus shows his disciples his divine nature, while God's voice says to them: "This is my Son, my Chosen One; listen to him!"

 

Today we played Sitting Volley, hosting a trainer from the Italian Paralympics team & Baseball.

We’re also inviting kids to our MySpace and Seekers Clubs we run during the school term. Join us in praying that kids and their families will see Jesus’ love for them through these acts of service and through every Gospel Talk!

#exchangebudrio22 Camp - DAY2 - The Confession of Peter

 

 

2nd day at the 2022 English Sport Camp Exchange Budrio.

 

 

 

This morning Josh, pastor of an Acts29 church plant in the nearby town of Imola, led our second Talk from Mark 8:21-33, showing kids how, while Luca and Alberto have to hide their identity, people are not ready to recognise Jesus' Identity. So he asks hi disciples: "who do you say that I am?"

We had lots of fun playing at Basketball & Ultimate Frisbee.

Every year we’ve been blessed by helpers coming from other churches. Join us in praying for the Gospel partnership amongst churches in Bologna and especially for Forte Torre, La Rocca and San Lazzaro church, who greatly helped at our camp this year! 

#exchangebudrio22 Camp - DAY1 - The Call of Peter

 

1st day at the 2022 English Sport Camp Exchange Budrio.

We're really excited to have 40 local kids and 4 Ukrainian kids hosted in Budrio, from 11 to 16 years-old!

 

This morning we started with our first Talk from Luke 5:1-11. Nino, from our church, led this time showing kids how, similarly to the sea world of the Disney Movie Luca, Peter lives in a "fishbowl" without realizing it. Untill Jesus calls him to follow him!

 

 

 

We had lots of fun playing at Soccer, American Football & Fun Games.

 

 

 

Join us in praying for these kids, their families and the sport centre staff, that we'll be able to start and continue good relationships with them!

 

Sunday Service: Visiting Preacher - Rod Bohls

Tomorrow we'll have our morning service to worship God together and to proclaim His Word in Budrio.

 

 

 

We are glad for the Lord's provision of the Auditorium, a former church building reconverted to be a cultural meeting point right at the centre of Budrio.

 

 

At 10.30 we'll start our service and Rod Bohls, leader of the Team from Bethel of Houston Church will preach on "Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men". Together we'll see we how Jesus' invitation and command offer more to life, because in the challenge to follow him, we get trasformed and commissioned by His Gospel!

 

We'll have a children's talk where kids will engage with the same Bible passage. 

 

During the service, we'll celebrate the Lord's Supper, proclaiming the victory of our Redeemer over sin and death!

SEEKERS Club14-19: seek, and you will find!

Tomorrow afternoon we'll have our Seekers Club for 14/19 years old students, organized by YfC Italy 

with La Piazza Church,  

Forte Torre Church,  

Nuova Speranza Church,

La Rocca Church

and San Lazzaro Church,

 

Tomorrow, we'll be hosted by Budrio Church and with Stefano, we'll engage with Matthew 28 - the Risen King is with us! - "And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." Matthew 28:20

In this study we'll engage with The Great Commision that the Risen King has given to His Church, knowing that He's with us in fulfilling His Mission!

For this last meeting before the summer, we'll have some fun games in Mezzolara's Park and a great BBQ!

Because of the grace of God that was given us in Christ Jesus, we can celebrate His beauty as in every way we are enriched in him: "even as the testimony about Christ was confirmed among you- so that you are not lacking in any spiritual gift, as you wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ" 1 Corinthians 1:6-7

AppMatthew - Mid-Week Bible Study

Tomorrow evening we'll have our AppMatthew (Applying Matthew's Gospel), our series of Mid-Week Bible Studies in which we'll keep interacting with what we're learning through the preaching in our Sunday services. 

We'll meet at the Bookshop-Café La Terza Stanza, in Budrio. Stefano will lead this time where, as church-family we'll engage with Matthew 24.

Together we'll see the beauty of Christ, since: "The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance." 2 Peter 3:9

Church Family Prayer Walk in Budrio

Tomorrow evening, as church family, we'll have a Prayer Walk around Budrio.

In Filopanti Square, we'll intercede for our local government in view of the coming local elections on the 12th of June. 1 Timothy 2:1-2

At the local Middle School, we'll pray for the Principal and the possibility to continue to worship at their conference hall every Sunday morning. Acts 2:46-47

Finally, we'll stop at Budrio Sport Centre, where from the 20th to the 26th of June, we'll run our Exchnge Camp. We'll pray for campers and their families, as well as for the Gospel partnership with 3 Italian churches and Bethel church in Huston! 2 Timothy 3:14-15

SUNDAY SERVICE: Matthew 24:45-51 - The faithful manager is the one who thinks he's "smart"!

At 10.30 we'll start our service with our series on Matthew's Gospel - The King & his Kingdom! 

With Stefano we'll engage with Matthew 24:45-51 - The faithful manager is the one who thinks he's "smart"!

Together we'll see the beauty of Christ, who blesses the servant who's found busy in serving his church family and in Jesus' mission when he'll come back! Our desire is to live Paul's words: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing" 2 Timothy 4:7-8

Tomorrow afternoon we'll have
our last My Space Club 4 Teens
for this school year.

We organize this club for local kids,
in partnership with Budrio Town Hall
as part of their after-school programme.

In this way, we've been given a room in Budrio's Library and social workers are sending some of the kids they follow. 

As part of our club, we also offer help
with their English home-works.

 

 

 

 

Together we'll engage with the YfC Rock Solid material, interacting with the theme: FAQs: Can you hear God?

 

We'll play lots of fun games like: Buzzee Bee, Change Place If..., Marco Polo, Listen Carefully, Communication Station, Apple Pie, God Speaks, Impaired, Social Distancing Games, which will serve as illustrations to Stefano's Talk from Hebrews 1:1-3, where we'll see that God is indeed speaking to us! He does it through His Word - the Bible, and though His Son - Jesus Christ, are we then ready to listen to His voice this summer? "In these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world" Hebews 1:2

Together we'll see the beauty of Christ, who is like a "gentleman thief", warning us about is arrival, wanting us to be missionally ready for His Return: "Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you" Revelation 3:3

Tomorrow afternoon we'll have
our My Space Club 4 Teens
for this school year.

We organize this club for local kids,
in partnership with Budrio Town Hall
as part of their after-school programme.

In this way, we've been given a room in Budrio's Library and social workers are sending some of the kids they follow. 

As part of our club, we also offer help
with their English home-works.

 

 

 

 

Together we'll engage with the YfC Rock Solid material, interacting with the theme: Relax, it's Summer!

 

 

We'll play lots of fun games like: Extreme Sleeping Lions, Pair Em Up, Fill Your Cup, Carry my Burdens, It's a Balance, Social Distancing Games, which will serve as illustrations to Yan's Talk from Matthew 11:28, where we'll see that summer is coming, in fact it is already here. The expectations of stopping and saying goodbye to school at least for a while are great. But are summer holidays really enough to give us rest? If we listen to Jesus' words in Matthew 11:28: "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" we'll discover the true joyful rest, we can only experience in Jesus Christ.
