Tomorrow we'll have our morning service
to worship God together and to proclaim
His Word in Budrio.
We are glad for the Lord's provision of the main room in
Le Torri dell'Acqua, the theatre&modern art-gallery right at the centre of Budrio, well known as a cultural meeting point.
At 10.00 am we'll enjoy our time as a church family
with a lovely breakfast together.
At 10.30 am we'll continue with Stefano
our series on the Book of Acts.
Tomorrow we'll model our prayer time
from the Bible text we are engaging with.
We'll engage in seeing how the Gospel impacted Aeneas and Tabitha,
so to be challenged to be a church which is really a family actively praying and acting for those who are ill amongst us.
Yet we know that both in sickness and in health our eyes have to be fixed on Jesus,
because it is only in Christ that
we can live both for His glory!
Then, we'll engage in seeing how the Gospel
had impacted Tabitha and Cornelius,
so to be challenged in our comprehension of living and proclaiming the Gospel while we live and serve our community.
We want to be a church that support our community in serving and caring for the needy as we walk in the steps of a Lord
who loved and cared for them,
showing that the man's greatest need is met
by His loving death on the Cross,
by the gift of His resurrected life,
and by a restored relationship with the Father!
This is the way we want to pray and being involved in two social activities run by the Budrio's Town Hall in this month:
- a sale of fair-trade oranges
- a food-bank collection for local needy families.
Tomorrow then we'll interact with Acts 9:32-11:18
and we'll engage with Cornelius's conversion.
These will be the main headings:
I. God shows no partiality
II. Jesus Christ is Lord of all.
Jenny will lead the time with the little ones engaging on the same topic, looking together at Acts 10:36.
"So Peter opened his mouth and said: "Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.
As for the word that he sent to Israel, preaching good news of peace through
Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all)"
Acts 10: 34-36 (ESV)
