Sunday Service - Acts 22:23-23:22

Tomorrow we'll have our morning service
to worship God together and to proclaim
His Word in Budrio.

We are glad for the Lord's provision of the main room in
Le Torri dell'Acqua, the theatre&modern art-gallery right at the centre of Budrio, well known as a cultural meeting point.

At 10.00 am we'll enjoy our time as a church family
with a coffee & fellowship together.

At 10.30 am we'll continue with Stefano
our series on the Book of Acts.

Tomorrow we'll engage with Acts 22:23-23:22
interacting with these main headings:
-Are we called to defend...?
-Are we called to be polemical...?

Jenny will lead the time with
the little ones engaging on Acts 23:6.

Together we'll see how Paul's missional attitude didn't have as a goal not to win
an argument, but to win people for Christ!
Paul's polemics pointed to the hope we have in Jesus' resurrection!

We'll start our service following the pattern of Acts 1:8 with a time of prayer characterized by thanksgiving and casting a vision for God's work in our community and globally.

We'll pray for "our home".

On the 9th and 10th of June we'll have the Acts29 Italy Assessment Conference.
Two couples will be assessed for their calling and gifting to church-plant in Italy.
We'll pray for them and for the assessment team!

We'll pray for "out neighbour".

On Tuesday (Italy's Republic Day) we'll be @ the special ceremony organized by Budrio's Town Hall to give honorary citizenship to all the kids who completed a school stage.
This is a great opportunity for us to celebrate with our community the Citizenship we have in Christ - Ephesians 2:19

We'll also pray for "the end of the earth".
We'll have with us Jenny's brother and his family from York Evangelical Church.
This church supports us and regularly pray for our church-plant, so it'll be great to pray for them and their reaching out of York!

Tomorrow we'll celebrate the Lord's Supper rejoicing and proclaiming our new identity and unity in Christ!

Giovanni will read and share from 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
