Sunday Service & Ferragosto Fellowship Dinner

Tomorrow, our nation celebrates the traditional Ferragosto Harvest Festival. The Feriae Augusti (Augustus' Holidays), were introduced by Emperor Augustus in 18 BC, as a public holiday to celebrate the harvest and the end of a period of intense agricultural work.

As church family, we'll have an evening service where Stefano will preach from Isaiah 55, followed by a fellowship dinner, where we'll celebrate the Lord's Supper.

We want to celebrate Ferragosto as a Gospel opportunity, rejoicing in the way God makes the Gospel seed to sprout in the hearts of men, knowing that in our Gospel labour, we can rest in the certainty of His Harvest!

As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:10-11
