Tomorrow afternoon we'll have our
My Space Club 4 Teens
for this school year.
We organize this club for local kids,
in partnership with Budrio Town Hall
as part of their after-school
programme.
In this way, we've been given a room in
Budrio's Library and social workers are sending some of the kids
they follow.
As part of our club, we also offer help
with their English home-works.
Together we'll engage with the YfC Rock Solid material, interacting with the theme: On Edge!
We'll
play lots of fun games like: Close To The Edge, Steal The Seat, The Edge, How
High?, Edge of Tomorrow, Tomorrow will be anxious for itself, What's Hidden
Inside?, The Triangle Of Wellbeing, Hand It Over, which will serve as
illustrations to Stefano's Talk from Matthew 6:24-34. Together we’ll see how we
often live lives that lead us to be anxious or insecure because we serve the
consumerist values of our society. We worry about how we look in the eyes of
others and being accepted by the group, or tomorrow frightens us because it is
beyond our control! Jesus then asks us: “And which of you by being anxious can
add a single hour to his span of life?” Matthew 6:27. Then he tells us to not be
anxious or insecure because our tomorrow is in God's hands, and he cares for
us, because he loves us and we are worth so much in his eyes!
