SUNDAY SERVICE: Matthew 26:47-68 - The Passion: What if it's all True?

Tomorrow we'll have our morning service to worship God together and to proclaim His Word in Budrio.

We are glad for the Lord's provision of the Auditorium, a former church building reconverted to be a cultural meeting point right at the centre of Budrio.

At 10.30 we'll start our service with our series on Matthew's Gospel - The King & his Kingdom!

With Stefano we'll engage with Matthew 26:47-68 - The Passion: What if it's all True?
Jesus publicly affirmed his divine and messianic identity, if these claims were false, then they were rightly blasphemies deserving of death, but what if they were all true?
"A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic—on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg—or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut him up for a fool, you can spit at him and kill him as a demon or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God, but let us not come with any patronising nonsense about his being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to."
C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity

We'll have a children's talk where kids will engage with the same Bible passage and families will have activities to keep interacting with God's Word during the week.

MySpace Club 4 Teens - Re+Start!

Tomorrow afternoon we'll have our
My Space Club 4 Teens
for this school year.

We organize this club for local kids,
in partnership with Budrio Town Hall
as part of their after-school programme.

In this way, we've been given a room in Budrio's Library and social workers are sending some of the kids they follow.
As part of our club, we also offer help
with their English home-works.

Together we'll engage with the YfC Rock Solid material, interacting with the theme: Re-Start!

We'll play lots of fun games like: First Day of School, Fancy Dress Stress, The Danger Seat, Opening scene, The best beginning, City from Scratch, Choices and decisions, Story Time, Write your own story, which will serve as illustrations to Stefano's Talk from Philippians 3:12-17, where we’ll see how Paul, instead of getting depressed thinking about past failures or how much he has wasted his time boasting in himself, now that he has realised what really matters and how much Jesus loves him, decides to look ahead, to start this new beginning with Jesus.

SUNDAY SERVICE: Matthew 26:31-46 - The Passion: The good, acceptable and perfect Will of God!

Tomorrow we'll have our morning service to worship God together and to proclaim His Word in Budrio.

This week we'll meet at the social center Magnolia, a well known cultural meeting point right at the centre of Budrio.

At 10.30 we'll start our service with our series on Matthew's Gospel - The King & his Kingdom!
With Stefano we'll engage with Matthew 26:31-46 - The Passion: The good, acceptable and perfect Will of God!
In the agony of his personal and for us incomprehensible suffering, Jesus shows us - the peace he found in obedience to the Father's love, - the trust he placed in the good, acceptable and perfect Will of the Father, - the infinite love with which the entire Trinity loves the disciples then and now, saying to them: let us go!
"I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. " Romans 12:1-2

We'll have a children's talk where kids will engage with the same Bible passage and families will have activities to keep interacting with God's Word during the week.

Theology for Breakfast

Tomorrow we'll continue
our series of meetings:
Theology for Breakfast!
Following Luther's Table Talks example, we'll meet from 9 to 11am @ Central Café in Mezzolara where, while enjoying a breakfast with capuccino & croissants, we'll engage with God's Word discovering the beauty of theology in our everyday life!

We'll interact with the module: Gospel Relationships. With Stefano we'll conclude Unit 6. Work.

Relationships are fundamental to our identity, yet they are fraught with difficulty, fear, conflict and uncertainty. Coming to Christ puts us automatically into relationship with a community of his people. The gospel enables relationships to fulfil their purpose and design. The gospel transforms all our relationships. It resolves conflict, and gives new purpose to friendships, parenting and marriages. Together we'll discover how we can be freed to serve and love others with gospel intentionality.
