MySpace Club 4 Teens - On Edge!

 

Tomorrow afternoon we'll have our
My Space Club 4 Teens
for this school year.

We organize this club for local kids,
in partnership with Budrio Town Hall
as part of their after-school programme.

In this way, we've been given a room in Budrio's Library and social workers are sending some of the kids they follow. 

As part of our club, we also offer help
with their English home-works.

 

 

 

 

Together we'll engage with the YfC Rock Solid material, interacting with the theme: On Edge!

We'll play lots of fun games like: Close To The Edge, Steal The Seat, The Edge, How High?, Edge of Tomorrow, Tomorrow will be anxious for itself, What's Hidden Inside?, The Triangle Of Wellbeing, Hand It Over, which will serve as illustrations to Stefano's Talk from Matthew 6:24-34. Together we’ll see how we often live lives that lead us to be anxious or insecure because we serve the consumerist values of our society. We worry about how we look in the eyes of others and being accepted by the group, or tomorrow frightens us because it is beyond our control! Jesus then asks us: “And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?” Matthew 6:27. Then he tells us to not be anxious or insecure because our tomorrow is in God's hands, and he cares for us, because he loves us and we are worth so much in his eyes!

Home groups & Missionary Prayer Meeting

On Wednesday the 18th and Tuesday the 24th we'll have our home groups. We'll have a bring and share meal and we'll celebrate the Lord's Supper together, with a family prayer time involving little ones and grown ups.

This month we'll also have with us on Zoom Giuseppe & Sun-min, who will share how the Lord is guiding them to serve Him in Germany working with WEC with refugees.

SEEKERS Club14-19: seek, and you will find!

Tomorrow afternoon we'll have our Seekers Club for 14/19 years old students, organized by 

Youth for Christ Italy 

with La Piazza Church,  

Forte Torre Church,  

Nuova Speranza Church,

La Rocca Church,

and San Lazzaro Church.

 

 

 

Tomorrow we'll be hosted by Forte Torre Church in Bologna, and with Tommy, pastor of New Hope Church, we'll engage with Mark 12:28-31 - Mission. Together we will see why sin is such a huge problem, and that Jesus came to rescue rebels. If sin is the biggest problem we all face, then surely the answer to that problem would be the best and most important news ever!

This year we'll engage with the Gospel according to Mark using the Christianity Explored course for young adults - Soul. We'll be exposed to the person of Jesus, discovering his identity, mission and call, in the certainty that, as Jesus promised: Seek, and you will find!

 

Sunday Service: Pastoral Epistles - 1Timothy 1:1-2

Tomorrow we'll have our morning service to worship God together and to proclaim His Word in Budrio.

 

 

 

 

 

We are glad for the Lord's provision of the meeting room at the social center Magnolia, a well known cultural meeting point right at the centre of Budrio.

At 10.30 we'll start our service with our series on the Pastoral Epistles.

With Stefano we'll engage with 1Timothy 1:1-2 - Passing on the Great Commission! 

Together we'll see how Paul passes on the Great Missional Mandate of God, our Saviour, and of Christ Jesus, our hope, to Timothy and Titus, his children and disciples in the faith, so that they may establish churches of disciples who make disciples in the grace, mercy and peace that comes from God the Father and Christ Jesus, our Lord!

 

We'll have a children's talk where kids will engage with the same Bible passage.

Together we'll engage with the YfC Rock Solid material, interacting with the theme:  On Repeat: Comparison!

We'll play lots of fun games like: Shape Shifters, Yellow Food Mood, It's Not Fair, Uniquely You, You Choose, What's Inside, Making The Grade and Break The Chains, which will serve as illustrations to Stefano's Talk from 1 Samuel 16. Often we compare ourselves to others, looking only at how their lives looks from the outside. Yet we’ll see that what is in our hearts is what really matters, and Jesus wants to change our hearts with his love, because: “the LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart”! 1 Samuel 16:7

Sunday Service: Visiting Preacher - Marco Martella

Tomorrow we'll have our morning service to worship God together and to proclaim His Word in Budrio.

At 10.30 we'll start our service and Marco Martella, Pastor of the Acts29 church plant Nuova Vita DownTown in Bologna, will preach on "Let us run with endurance the race, fixing our eyes to Jesus" from Hebrews 12:1-2. 

 

Let's not give up on our Christian race! But let's look back at the past to the witnesses who have gone before us, lay aside every weight, and sin, fixing our eyes on Jesus, and running the race that is set before us, motivated by His future joy!

 

We'll have a children's talk where kids will engage with the same Bible passage.

AppMatthew - Breakfast Bible Study

Tomorrow we'll have a special AppMatthew (Applying Matthew's Gospel) Breakfast Bible Study, to mark the end of our 2 year series on Matthew's Gospel.

Following Luther's Table Talks example, we'll meet @ Central Café in Mezzolara where, while enjoying a breakfast with capuccino & croissants, we'll engage with God's Word, applying it to our everyday life!

Stefano will lead this time where, as church-family we'll engage with Matthew 28, interacting with what we've learned through the preaching in our Sunday services.
