10th Anniversary of Church la Piazza - All the cities and villages!

Tomorrow afternoon we'll celebrate the 10th Anniversary of our church presence in Budrio, at the Auditorium.

From the beginning our church vision has been characterised by the desire to live the Gospel in the Community, carrying out the Mission of Christ!

This vision emerges clearly in our name, which refers back to the Book of Acts, in the Bible, where we read of the Apostle Paul's arrival in the city of Athens. Here we find him daily in the market square reasoning and discussing the Gospel with those who were there (Acts 17:17). Every Italian piazza is then made up of the many typical blocks, represented in the cross of our logo, reminding us how each of our church family members is unique and different, but in Christ we are united in a wonderful way to be together the body of his church (Romans 12:4-5).

"All towns and villages!" is the theme we choose for our 10th anniversary, taken from the words of the Gospel of Matthew 9:35 - "Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages... proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom!"
Our desire is to translate into practice the love of Jesus for all cities and villages, which includes and enhances mutual opportunities and challenges, developing a joint vision, between and for, the urban and rural context.

For this we're very happy to have as speakers: Mark Reeves, pastor of Buffalo City Church in Jamestown, US, who has experience in pastoring churches both in urban and rural contexts; Rob Scothern, pastor of Peak Trinity in Bakewell, UK, member of the Steering Group of The Rural Project and Elio Vannelli, vice-chairman of Acts 29 Italy!

Sunday Service: Visiting Preachers - Mark Reeves & Rob Scothern

Tomorrow we'll have a special morning service for our 10th anniversary to celebrate God's faithfulness.

We are glad for the Lord's provision of the meeting room at the social center Magnolia, a well known cultural meeting point right at the centre of Budrio.

We'll have with us, Mark Reeves, pastor of Buffalo City Church in Jamestown, North Dakota, US, who will lead our worship, celebrating the richness of God's people from every nation, and Rob Scothern pastor of Peak Trinity Church in Bakewell, Peak District, UK, who will preach on "The Great Banquet" from Luke 14:12-24.
We have been called to the feast, to come without money and eat. There’s strength for the weary and hope for the poor; at the table of the Lord. And, we have been called to extend the Lord’s invitation - to the city and the countryside.

During the service we'll celebrate the Lord's Supper and we'll have a children's talk where kids will engage with the same Bible passage.

We are glad for the Lord's provision of the meeting room at the social center Magnolia, a well known cultural meeting point right at the centre of Budrio.

At 10.30 we'll start our service continuing our series on the Pastoral Epistles. We'll engage with 2Timothy 4:1-5 - Preach the Word!
Paul charges us to preach and live the Word of God, for our responsibility is not only to hear it, believe it, and obey it, but also to proclaim it and live it before everyone, in the power of the Holy Spirit, who guides us in urging, reproving, rebuking, and exhorting, in season and out of season, with complete patience and teaching, for now is the day of salvation!
"Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. Working together with him, then, we appeal to you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For he says, "In a favorable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you." Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation." 2Corinthians 5:20-6:2

We'll have a children's talk where kids will engage with the same Bible passage.

Sunday Service: Pastoral Epistles - 2Timothy 3:10-17

Tomorrow we'll have our morning service to worship God together and to proclaim His Word in Budrio.

We are glad for the Lord's provision of the meeting room at the social center Magnolia, a well known cultural meeting point right at the centre of Budrio.

At 10.30 we'll start our service continuing our series on the Pastoral Epistles. We'll engage with 2Timothy 3:10-17 - You, however, follow and be steadfast in Christ!
Only those who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus, are steadfast in Christ and follow him in His mission, expecting persecutions and conversions, and the means that God uses in the power of the Holy Spirit, to give the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus, is the Word of God: believed and lived, proclaimed and taught, in the family, in the church and in the world.
"For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession." Hebrews 4:12-14

We'll have a children's talk where kids will engage with the same Bible passage.

At 10.30 we'll start our service continuing our series on the Pastoral Epistles. We'll engage with 2Timothy 3:1-9 - The difficult times of apparent religion!
Paul shows us true love in the beauty of biblical harmony, between the sovereignty of God preserving both the truth of His Word and the missional faithfulness of His Church; and our responsibility to defend the truth of His Word and protect His Church by clearly proclaiming and openly living the Gospel.
"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself." Luke 10:27

We'll have a children's talk where kids will engage with the same Bible passage.
