International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church - Joint service & prayer meeting

Tomorrow is the IDOP (International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church) also known in some countries as Suffering Sunday.

Today’s greatest untold story is that more than 100 million Christians worldwide face persecution for their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Daily Christians in countries such as Eritrea, Nigeria, India, Pakistan, Sudan and Sri Lanka

face imprisonment, violence and even death.

IDOP is a time set apart for us to remember thousands of our Christian brothers and sisters around the world who suffer persecution, simply because they confess Jesus Christ as Lord.

As churches in Bologna we decided to have a joint Sunday Service and an afternoon prayer meeting.

In the morning John Paul Aranzulla, pastor of Forte Torre Church, will preach from Psalm 129.

In the afternoon we'll have a focused prayer & intercessory meeting where every church will present a country target.
We'll have presentations with specific prayer points for Syria, Iraq, Pakistan & Libya and we'll intercede in small prayer groups.
In our prayer we'll intercede both for our persecuted fellows-Christians and for the salvation of their persecutors!

Mid-week Prayer & Envisioning Meeting

Tomorrow evening we'll have a mid-week prayer & envisioning meeting in the house of a family from our core-group.

Our desire is to keep committing to the Lord in prayer all we think, plan and do, so to be guided
by Hid wisdom and vision.

We also work to build up our church to have a passion for our community with a global vision for the world-wide work of the Lord!

We'll continue to pray the Lord of the harvest after the amazing Gospel opportunity we had yesterday morning with the MoonWalker Conference with Charlie Duke.

We keep receiving enthusiastic feedback from people who came, but our desire is to see eternal fruits for the Lord!

The MoonWalker Conference - Budrio High-Schools

This morning we experienced another great Gospel opportunity in Budrio.
In the beautiful setting of the 17th century Theatre we had 700+ students from the 2 high-schools in Budrio who came for MoonWalker Conference with NASA astronaut Charlie Duke the 10th man
to have walked on the moon.

Charlie and his wife Dorothy have been great in sharing their passion for life but above all their passion for the Lord.
Charlie powerfully explained how as man and scientist he found his peace and meaning in life only in Jesus, and how He has saved his life and marriage!

The MoonWalker Conference - Bologna High-School

This morning we had a great time at the Bologna Scientific High-School Fermi with the retired U.S. Air Force officer and former astronaut for NASA, Charles Moss "Charlie" Duke Jr
as part of his Italy 2015 tour organised by Agape Italia in partnership with YfC Italy.

Charlie shared with students his exciting experience as
MoonWalker when, during the Apollo 16 in 1972,
he became the tenth and youngest person to walk on the Moon.

Charlie motivated students to take seriously their youth and them to look after their spirit.
He openly shared with them how his success in life didn't prevent him to be a failure as husband and father and how him and his wife found the real peace and meaning in life only in Jesus!

Please pray for tomorrow when in Budrio we've organized a conference in partnership with the Town-hall for the two local high-schools, expecting 700 + students and lecturers in the beautiful 17th century Theatre of Budrio.

After we'll have a lunch together with the Mayor and other local authorities of Budrio.

Join us in praying for these opportunities to openly share the Gospel and build up relations.
