On Sunday afternoon we'll have our
Evening Family Time as Impatto A Budrio church-plant.
Stefano will lead this Family Time focused on God's Word.
We'll continue our series on the Book of Acts engaging with 15:1-16:5 "A multi-cultural church for a multi-cultural world".
Our desire is to grow in our comprehension of the unity we have in
Christ and our vision for reaching out the community of Budrio with a sense of the global reality of God's Kingdom.
We'll have a time of vision and prayer followed by a family bring&share meal together.
Tomorrow afternoon we'll have our My Space Budrio club to reach out local teens.
Stefano &Jenny with Justin & Carli will interact with the YfC Rock Solid material engaging kids with
the theme: Chocs Away: A chocolate Easter?
Together we'll interact with kids to find out the real meaning of Easter.
We'll play different games to illustrate
the point such as: Quizzical sacrifice, What you give up and Crime and Punishment which will help us to see the real cost that Jesus paid at the Cross and why He was the only one who could died in our place.
We'll also watch a clip that will encourage us to think about how Jesus cleanses once for all from all our sins:
Justin will give a first talk on Jesus' death,
it's meaning and necessity.
We'll challenge kids to relate firstly to the cost of the Cross, but to focus especially on Jesus' atonement, on His incredible sacrificial love.
Stefano will give a second talk on Jesus' resurrection: the real meaning of Easter.
Jesus died for us, so that we can be justified and He also gives us His Life so that we can live a restored relationship with God.
Please join us in praying that God will use these talks, games and our love for this kids in order to call them to celebrate the real Easter!
The main speaker will be Gary Aston, pastor of Redeemer Church in Leeds (Uk) and Acts 29 Western Europe's church planting strategist.
There will be about 60 Porterbrook students and church-planters from all around Italy.
Alongside
the plenary meetings led by Gary, there will be seminars on
Gospel-centered Preaching, Gospel-centered Leadership, Gospel-centered
coaching, Missional Communities & Porterbrook, Opening Gospel
Communities and Inter-cultural Communities.
Please pray for Stefano as will lead the first seminar on Missional Communities & Porterbrook.
Tomorrow evening we'll have a mid-week prayer meeting in our house.
Our desire is to commint to the Lord in prayer all
we think, plan and do, so to be guided by Hid wisdom and vision.
This week we want to give thanks to the Lord for the amazing opening we had with the Baseball & Basketball outreach, yet we want to keep asking the Lord to bless the Gospel was preached in those days and to call people to Him.
We want also to pray for Matteo and Maura and their Baptismal service on Easter Sunday.
We'll pray for their testimonies and all
the relatives and friends we are inviting,
that the Gospel will be powerfully preached and received.
Tomorrow morning we are invited
at the Sunday Service in San Lazzaro Church,
for their monthly Evangelistic Guests Service.
Stefano will preach from Acts 12:1-24.
We'll engage with God's Word, to see if the Gospel is really a Good News, whether we see liberation from suffering, or we experience God's love in suffering!
Tomorrow we'll have our morning service
to worship God together and to proclaim
His Word in Budrio.
We are glad for the Lord's provision of the main room in Le Torri dell'Acqua, the theatre&modern art-gallery right at the centre of Budrio, well known as a cultural meeting point.
At 10.00 am we'll enjoy our time as a church family
with a lovely breakfast together.
At 10.30 am we'll continue with Jonathan
our series on the Book of Acts, chapter 14.
On Tuesday afternoon we had a great time at the basketball clinic run by Rae Lin D'Alie and the Sojourn Heights Houston team with the Budrio group of adults with learning disabilities
It's the third time we're able to interact with this group who is always very appreciative and attentive to our Gospel talks!
Then for the very first time
we had the possibility to interact
with the under15 and under13 basketball teams of Budrio.
Basketball is a well loved sport in Budrio and many of our local friends or their children play for the local teams.
Rae was very good in sharing her testimony in connection with the discipline of an athlete.
She shared how she's been driven by success and how basketball was n°1 priority in her life.
Yet she found that only Jesus could gave significance to her life.
So now Jesus is n°1 in her life and basketball n°3!
This is the video with the "Highlights" of this week of outreach in Budrio!
In these days we were able to interact with about 180 students, 45 kids turned up for our outreach event on Saturday and we had more challenging conversations and Gospel opportunities.
Please pray that many good relationships will be established and that the Lord will use His Word testified in the many contexts we've been this week!
Thanks ever so much to all those who partnered with us in these days from different countries,
Tomorrow afternoon we'll continue our first baptismal classes
for Matteo and Maura, who are going to be baptised
on Easter Sunday.
We'll look at the theme of personal & community mission.
We'll engage with these questions: What does it mean that I am personally God's Temple?
(1 Corinthians 3:16-17)
What does it mean to live in a Missional church?
(Matthew 28:18-20)
Please join us in praying for Matteo and Maura and their personal walk
with the Lord alongside our communal walk with the Lord as church
family!
This high-school is in the town of Medicina (about 7 miles from Budrio) and is part of the Budrio high-school department.
It's only the second time we've been invited in this school, but the Lord really guided this morning, since we've been able to meet most of the students we've interacted with last year.
Today we were able to engage with more than 60 students aged 14-16 years-old.
We were very pleased that Gloria and Elisa, two of Rae Lin team-mates from the Libertas Bologna team, came to help at the basketball clinic and then listen very carefully when Rae Lin shared her testimony.
Indeed, with every group of students, Rae Lin had the opportunity to share about how Jesus radically transformed her life!
Join us in praying for tomorrow afternoon when we'll be in Budrio sport centre for a basketball clinic first with a group of adults with learning disabilities and then with two under18 local teams.
This morning we had a great time at the High-School in Budrio. Italian kids really enjoyed playing baseball with Coach Billy. Zach was really good in sharing how Jesus is the answer to his deepest need. After lunch Budrio's Mayor came to greet the Arkansas team, thanking them for their passion!
This afternoon we had one of the greatest answer in prayer. 45 kids turned up for the afternoon outreach events and many of them said they'll like to get in touch!
Tomorrow we'll have our morning service
to worship God together and to proclaim
His Word in Budrio.
At 10.00 am we'll enjoy our time as a church family
with a lovely breakfast together.
At 10.30 am we'll continue our series on the Book of Acts.
Pastor Brandon Barker from Sojourn Heights Houston
will preach from Acts 14:
The Gospel to the Nations
Students will share their outreach experience in Budrio's middle and high-schools and we'll commit them to the Lord for their next outreach in this 2015 mission trip.
We'll also pray for the team from Sojourn Heights Houston that will support the rest of our outreach events. Tomorrow morning we'll be at the High School of Medicina with the Houston team
and Rae Lin D'Alie a Christian professional basketball player in Italy who will do a Basketball clinic and share her faith!
Today we had a great time with the middle-school in Budrio. The Arkansas team was able to engage with about 80 local kids.
The first group really enjoyed playing baseball and interacting with the American teens.
Then we had Conversational English with 3 classes. The Arkansas team was really good in sharing how Jesus is the center of all our life, whether we play basketball, reading the Bible or hanging out with friends.
We had a great afternoon trip to see the Comacchio lagoon and enjoyed visiting the old medieval town known as the "Little Venice".
Tomorrow morning we'll be at the High-School in Budrio where we'll have a baseball clinic with two second year classes. It's now the third year we're coming with the Arkansas team in this high-school in Budrio where Jenny teaches conversational English. Pray that the Lord will make some lasting contacts with this relatively long-term relationship both with teachers and students.
In the afternoon we'll have a Baseball clinic @ the Budrio Sport Centre where we held our Exch@nge camp.
We've invited many kids from the schools and from the My Space Club. Join us in praying for a good turnout of kids and especially for the Gospel talks that the American kids will give.
