Sunday Service: Pastoral Epistles - 2Timothy 4:6-8

Tomorrow we'll have our morning service to worship God together and to proclaim His Word in Budrio.

We are glad for the Lord's provision of the meeting room at the social center Magnolia, a well known cultural meeting point right at the centre of Budrio.

At 10.30 we'll start our service continuing our series on the Pastoral Epistles. We'll engage with 2Timothy 4:6-8 - I have kept the faith!
While many have shipwrecked in the faith, the Lord has judged Paul faithful (1Timothy 1:12 contains this adjective), and He has kept him faithful in finishing the race of the ministry, he has been given to do. Paul is telling Timothy that it is the faithfulness of God that, just as He sustained him and kept him faithful, will sustain Timothy in keeping him faithful in living and preaching the Gospel. It is Jesus who, by his death and resurrection, has secured for his people the crown of righteousness!
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:1-2

We'll have a children's talk where kids will engage with the same Bible passage.
