Mid-week Bible Study - App A Meal with Jesus

Tomorrow we'll have an evening to conclude our summer series where, as church family, we've interacted with Tim Chester's book A meal with Jesus.

With Stefano we'll work out some practical applications for our church family about what we've learned through Luke's Gospel during the summer.

Meals have always been important across societies and cultures. Meals are also deeply theological - an important part of Christian fellowship and mission. Luke's Gospel is full of stories of Jesus at meals. And these meals enact grace, community, hope, mission, salvation and promise.

Prayer & Envisioning Meeting

Tomorrow evening we'll have our mid-week prayer & envisioning meeting.

Our desire is to build up our church to have a passion for our community with a global vision for the work of the Lord!

We'll have a prayer time for those who've lost relatives and friends at the terrorist attack in Barcelona, including the two Italian families.

We'll intercede for the families of the terrorist and for those who are still
involved in these acts of violence, that the Lord might turn their hearts to Jesus' Redemption!

We'll pray for the witness of the European Mission Fellowship churches in Spain.

We'll also pray for the rescuers at work in Ischia after the earthquake and for those who have lost loves ones.

BBQ as Gospel opportunity

Tomorrow we'll have a traditional Ferragosto evening, which is an
Italian Harvest Festival.
The Feriae Augusti (Augustus' Festivals), introduced by Emperor Augustus in 18 BC,  celebrate the harvest and the end of a long period of intense agricultural work.

Nowadays is traditional to have a BBQ,
so we decided to invite @ our home some new friends alongside church family.

Two families we got to know during the Exch@nge Camp are coming! We'll be 23 adults & 4 kids, which means that we'll have 15 non-Christians with us!!! Pray for this Gospel opportunity for our church members to naturally share their faith with these friends!

Celebrating with our Community: fish&chips + bike ride with the stars

Tomorrow evening we'll join our community in Budrio for a fish&chips meal in the square.
There will be tables all around the main square in Budrio and under the arcades where people will sit together enjoying food and music.

On Friday evening we'll join the traditional bike ride by night to see the falling stars in the countryside and enjoying fresh watermelons!

These are great opportunities to get to know people from our community, sharing food with them and celebrating the good gifts of the Lord and God's marvellous creation: "The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork." Psalm 19:1
