Gospel Living - Summer in Budrio - One generation shall commend your works to another...

As a church, we want to be "in the middle of the square", at the centre of our community life, to serve and welcome, to celebrate and love, to live and share the Gospel (Acts 17:17), the good news of salvation by grace in Jesus Christ, with everyone!

So tomorrow evening we'll meet at the Chocolate & Ice Cream Shop in Mezzolara's Square for a family time where we'll read God's Word, we'll pray and we'll listen at how Jesus worked in the lives of Giovanna & Maria, followinhg the steps of Psalm 145:4!

"I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts. On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate. " Psalm 145:1-5

Sunday Service: The chaos of history (Revelation chapters 6 – 11)

Tomorrow we'll have our morning service to worship God together and to proclaim His Word in Budrio.

We are glad for the Lord's provision of the meeting room at the social center Magnolia, a well known cultural meeting point right at the centre of Budrio.

Every Sunday in July and August, we'll interact with the Good Book Company book Heaven's perspective on Revelation, by Tim Chester.

Tomorrow with Stefano we'll engage with Revelation 6-11 - The chaos of history.

The message of the final book of the Bible is both clear and simple. Despite everything that is going wrong with our world, God remains in control. And when we see history, our present, and our future from heaven's perspective, it will encourage us to trust God and remain faithful to the end.

The Apostle John shows us a vision of who Jesus Christ is—the ascended reigning Lord, the Lamb who was slain but who now lives for ever, the one who speaks with a voice like the sound of a waterfall, and the one who holds the people of God safe in his hands.

So tomorrow evening we'll be with our community at the Pasta Fest organised by the Partisan association in Budrio, with whom we collaborated for the Christmas Truce project!

This celebration, started in memory of the pasta meal offered by the Cervi family on 25 July 1943 before their martyrdom at the end of the fascist regime in Italy, continues to affirm the founding values of our country: freedom, peace, brotherhood, democracy.

#exchangebudrio23 Camp - DAY7 - Sunday Service & PicNic @ the Park

7th day at the 2023 English Sport Camp Exchange Budrio.

This morning we had our Sunday Service for the campers' families of the 2023 English Sport Camp Exchange Budrio. We had a great turnout of kids and parents. Indeed there where more than 100 people!

Stefano preached from Matthew 18:12-14 on the Parable of the Lost Sheep, challenging parents and kids to rejoice in the knowledge that God does not abandon the lost sheep in the wasteland of sin, because Jesus came to save what was lost (Matthew 18:11)!

We received a visit from Franca, Councillor for Social and School Policies - Volunteering - Twinning, who thanked us for our work and our presence in the community, including the Service Project carried out with the councillor at the 4 Seasons Flowerbed!

We are grateful to the Lord for the good time spent with the families and the young people, many of whom were happy to receive a New Testament and to be informed about our programmes for the year!

After the Celebration we had a nice time together with the families at the PicNic in the park, the funds raised from which went to the Civil Defence of Budrio!

#exchangebudrio23 Camp - DAY6 - Service Project

6th day at the 2023 English Sport Camp Exchange Budrio.

This morning, together with the Italian and American students, we carried out our Service Project to give back to the community, in partnership with the Department for Environmental and Energy Policies of Budrio’s Town Hall!

Together with councillor Stefano Pezzi, we addressed the issue of responsible water use, building a drip irrigation system for the 4 Seasons Flowerbed, where together with Nadia, we cleaned and labelled all the plants!

It was really great to see kids working together with some members of our church for the good of our community!
