with a courtyard in Budrio Library
and the social workers are sending
some of the kids they follow.
As part of our club, we also offer help
with their English home-works.

Is food the way to the heart?

We'll play lots of fun games like:
The Great Bake Off, Oven Mitts Relay,

Is food the way to the heart? which will serve as illustrations to Stefano's Talk from Luke 19:1-10, where we'll see how food was an integral part of Jesus' ministry to teach, model and live the Gospel. Jesus goes to Zaccheus home for a meal, and it's there that he said: "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost"!

Engaging with the Bake Off theme,
we thought to involve Eleonora
the owner of CuoreMio
a new bakery shop just opened in Budrio,
who will help us offering to our MySpace kids,

Christianity Explored - The World We All Want!

Tomorrow afternoon we'll continue with our Christianity Explored Bible Study,
for every age-group!
We have now a regular group of students,
so after having completed our studies on
the Gospel of Mark and Luke,
we engage with The World We All Want course to discover together the big message of the whole Bible.
We run these public meetings @ the Café of the theatre we use for our Sunday meetings!
The World We All Want presents the gospel through the Bible story. It presents the biblical worldview that people need if they are to understand the work of Christ.
Often presentations of the gospel are individualistic, focusing on an individual's relationship with God. It then becomes difficult to teach people about the church except in functional terms or terms than contradict the message of grace. The focus of the Bible, however, is on God's plan to create a people who are his people.

Tomorrow with Stefano
we'll conclude Session One:
God Promises the world we all want -
Revelation chapters 21-22 + Mark chapter 5.

The course begins by engaging with people's desire for a better world, showing how God promises such a world in the Bible and how Jesus gave us a glimpse of that world. This provides a natural point of contact with people; a common aspiration.
It establishes at the beginning of the course a reason why the Bible story is so important. As the course develops, however,
it makes it clear that this world cannot be human-centred,
it must be God-centred.

Sport Outreach with under-age asylum seekers

This morning we continued with our outreach programme for kids at the HUB
for under-age asylum seekers in Budrio, in partnership with YfC Italy.

In a village next to Budrio, three years ago was opened the second biggest centre of the Bologna area, to host under-age migrants landed in Italy. At the moment they host
14 kids, mostly Muslim, from various African countries, Albania and Pakistan.
A door was opened to offer a series of Sport Clinics with Coach Colin White, a former professional rugby player for Scotland, now part of the Bologna staff of YfC Italy.
We are very excited for this opportunity for our church to reach out these kids and for the partnership with the manager of the Mezzolara Sport Centre.

Today we talked about Light and how often we do not know where we go because we are blinded because of our sin. But the Good News is how Jesus is the light who enlightens us and so we can know where to go and find the right path in Him!

Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, "Take, eat; this is my body." And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, "Drink of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom."
