AppMatthew - Mid-Week Bible Study

Tomorrow evening we'll have our AppMatthew (Applying Matthew's Gospel), our series of Mid-Week Bible Studies in which we'll keep interacting with what we're learning through the preaching in our Sunday services. 

We'll meet in person at the Bookshop-Café La Terza Stanza, in Budrio. Stefano will lead this time where as church-family we'll engage with Matthew 20.

Preaching at Isola del Gran Sasso d'Italia Evangelical Church

 

This weekend we'll be with our friends of the Evangelical Church in Isola del Gran Sasso d'Italia.

This church in the rural region of Abruzzo, was planted in the '50 and is pastored by Sergio d'Ascenzo who came to preach in Budrio early this month, and who's ministry was well appreciated!

On Sunday Stefano will preach from Romans 15:13-33 - Fighting in Prayer to please God!

SUNDAY SERVICE: Matthew 21:1-11 - The entry and the welcoming of the King in his Kingdom!

Tomorrow we'll have our morning service to worship God together and to proclaim His Word in Budrio.

 

We are glad for the Lord's provision of the conference hall at the local middle school, a strategic and well known location in our community.

At 10.30 we'll start our service with our series on Matthew's Gospel - The King & his Kingdom! 

With Giovanni we'll engage with Matthew 21:1-11 - The entry and the welcoming of the King in his Kingdom! Together we'll see the beauty of Christ, who isn't a triumphant conqueror but a King Redeemer, who: "came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many" Matthew 20:28

 

 
 

We'll have a children's talk where kids will engage with the same Bible passage and families will have activities to keep interacting with God's Word during the week.

MySpace Club 4 Teens - The Mustard Seed Effect

Tomorrow afternoon we'll have
our My Space Club 4 Teens
for this school year.

We organize this club for local kids,
in partnership with Budrio Town Hall
as part of their after-school programme.

In this way, following every Covid-restrictions, we've been given a room in Budrio's Library and social workers are sending some of the kids they follow. 

As part of our club, we also offer help
with their English home-works.

 

 

 

Together we'll engage with the YfC Rock Solid material, interacting with the theme: The Mustard Seed Effect!

We'll play lots of fun games like: How it's Made: Mustard Seeds, Small Things, How it's Made: Mustard Sauces, How does your garden grow?, Grow Tree, Grow!!!, Tell Me a Story, Tell Me Jesus' Story!, Watch Me Grow, Go, Grow!!!, which will serve as illustrations to Stefano's Talk from Matthew 13:31-32, where we'll see why Jesus spoke in parables and why he presents us the Gospel grow like a mustard seed, which: "is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches!" Matthew 13:32

Acts29 Global Prayer Meeting

 

Tomorrow evening for our monthly prayer meeting as church family, we'll join the first Acts29 Global Prayer meeting of 2022 to intercede with our brothers and sisters across time zones and continents, for the Global Work of the Lord!

God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it" Acts 2:23-24

Tomorrow afternoon we'll have
our My Space Club 4 Teens
for this school year.

We organize this club for local kids,
in partnership with Budrio Town Hall
as part of their after-school programme.

We'll play lots of fun games like: Hills & Valleys, Play-Doh Showdown, Create a Creature, Make a Change, The Plastic Island, Obey the Creator, Social Distancing Games, which will serve as illustrations to Yan's Talk from Genesis 1:31, 2:15, where we will see that God declares that his creation is more than good is very good, and how God has entrusted humanity with the task of guarding his creation. Thus, a right look towards ourselves and towards creation should lead us to celebrate our Creator with joy: "For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. " Psalm 139:13-14

 

SEEKERS Club14-19: seek, and you will find!

Tomorrow afternoon we'll have our Seekers Club for 14/19 years old students, organized by YfC Italy 

with La Piazza Church,  

Forte Torre Church,  

Nuova Speranza Church,

La Rocca Church

and San Lazzaro Church,

 

Tomorrow, our church will host the meeting at Cuoremio Bakery and with Stefano, we'll engage with Matthew 11:16-24 - the King and those who Do not Repent: "...Yet wisdom is justified by her deeds." Matthew 11:19

In this study we will see how believing in Jesus and repenting are two sides of the same coin, just as not believing and not repenting are the sides of another single coin!
To repent means to have a change of course, of life, of mind; a life that no longer has itself at the center but Jesus. In the light of this, what will you do with this knowledge?

This year we'll engage with the Gospel according to Matthew. We'll be exposed to the person of Jesus, discovering who's the King and where's His Kingdom, in the certainty that, as Jesus promised: Seek, and you will find!

Together we'll see the beauty of Christ, as we apply Paul's words and Gospel living: "In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'" Acts 20:35

Theology for Breakfast

Tomorrow we'll continue
our series of meetings:  
Theology for Breakfast! 
Following Luther's Table Talks example, we'll meet from 9 to 11am @ Central Café in Mezzolara where, while enjoying a breakfast with capuccino & croissants, we'll engage with God's Word discovering the beauty of theology in our everyday life!

We'll interact with the module: Gospel Relationships. With Stefano we'll start Unit 4. Humility.

 

Relationships are fundamental to our identity, yet they are fraught with difficulty, fear, conflict and uncertainty. Coming to Christ puts us automatically into relationship with a community of his people. The gospel enables relationships to fulfil their purpose and design. The gospel transforms all our relationships. It resolves conflict, and gives new purpose to friendships, parenting and marriages. Together we'll discover how we can be freed to serve and love others with gospel intentionality.

We'll play lots of fun games like: Larva's H'n'S, Disney's Greatest Listen Up, Who's Calling?, Speak to me, Hearing God, A Letter from the Past, Find Him, Social Distancing Games, which will serve as illustrations to Stefano's Talk from Hebrews 1:1-3; 2:1-13, where we'll read about how God speaks to us through the Bible and through His Son: "Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it... How shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was declared at first by the Lord, and it was attested to us by those who heard!" Hebrews 2:1,3
