We'll play lots of fun games like: Scavenger Hunt, Aardvark Relay, What’s In Your Wallet?, Grab The Cash!, Money Exchange, Sealed Bids, The Cost of Living, You Can’t Take It With You, Wealth Measurement Exercise, Generosity Project, Take The Money And Run, Coining It, which will serve as illustrations to Stefano's Talk from Luke 6:27-38.
Is the motivation for giving: “Give to get"? That’s not what Jesus meant, at all. Having a generous heart, and being generous givers, isn’t a personal investment scheme. It’s a revelation of the character of God, who loves to give. It’s a demonstration of the power of the Gospel, which turns selfish hoarders into cheerful givers. It’s a spring of grace in a city square, overflowing for the benefit of others. We will never regret being generous with our time, talent, and treasure.
“Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38
This evening we'll have our App1Timothy (Applying the 1st Pastoral Letter of Paul to Timothy), our series of Mid-Week Bible Studies in which we'll keep interacting with what we're learning through the preaching in our Sunday services. We'll meet at Filopanti Café, in Budrio. Stefano will lead this time where, as church-family we'll engage with 1 Timothy 1.

Sometimes life gets pretty tough and pretty stressful and sometimes that’s to do with school. But the amazing thing is that in times where everything feels super overwhelming, God cares and He wants us to come to Him. We can turn to God as a safe space and a refuge. In God, we can find peace and joy and a fresh perspective on things, because God is ultimately in control and He is where perfect peace comes from: “Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
