Reformation Prayer Meeting

Tomorrow evening we'll meet on Zoom for a Reformation Prayer Meeting.

The 31st October 1517 Luther posted the 95 theses in Wittenberg. This date has a strong symbolic value as it's considered, if not the very beginning of the Reformation, at least one of its fundamental steps. The fact is that after the nailing of the 95 theses, Reformation took on a public and popular profile. The Day of the Reformation is therefore an occasion to remember the rediscovery of the Gospel centred on the recognition of the authority of Scripture, the centrality of Jesus Christ, the gratuitousness of salvation, the requirement that all life be lived for the glory of God.

As church family, we'll have a time to specifically intercede for our nation in this moment of crisis due to the COVID19, remembering how the identity of God's people for every generation, in every nation and in every moment of crisis, is inextricably linked to being in Christ and faithful witnesses of his Gospel.

So we'll dedicate a time to pray, to intercede and to thank the Lord, following the 5 Solas of Reformation: Sola Fide, Sola Gratia, Solus Christus, Sola Scriptura and Soli Deo Gloria!
